This bungalow re-roof shows how our team runs a big job: the old roof stripped back to the timber trusses, new breathable membrane and battens laid run by run, with our own crew on the roof and our vans on the drive.

A large detached bungalow, stripped back to the trusses
The old covering came off the whole roof, leaving the timber trusses open with the loft insulation still in place between the joists. The old tiles and ridge tiles were stacked up on the roof as they came off.
Scaffold went up around the bungalow before the strip began, so the crew had safe access to every slope from start to finish.
Breathable membrane and new battens, run by run
With the roof open, four of our roofers rolled grey breathable membrane out over the trusses, lapped each run and fixed new battens on top, working along the slope one course at a time.
The membrane keeps wind-driven rain out while letting moisture escape from the loft, and the battens give the new roof covering a straight, even line to sit on.
- Roof stripped back to the trusses
- Breathable membrane laid and lapped
- New battens fixed along every slope
- Safe access set up before anyone climbed
Our vans on the drive, our crew on the roof
The sign-written Sure Seal pick-up and van stayed on the drive for the job, with the materials unloaded beside them, ready to go up.
When you book Sure Seal, the people on your roof are Jamie's family-run team, with over 30 years' experience. We are fully insured, there is no deposit to pay and every job is guaranteed.
